MONDAY, MARCH 17 - SUNDAY, MARCH 23, 2025
Presented by Hawaii Craftsmen and founded in 1977, Raku Ho'olaule'a (a celebration of raku) brings together ceramic artists to participate in raku and related firing techniques at a campout which is held in a beautiful beach setting on the North Shore of Oʻahu. Objects glazed and fired at the beach are juried by experts in contemporary and traditional raku for an exhibition. This year’s guest artist and juror will be Scott Stockdale.
Sunday, February 9 from 9-10am there will be a meeting for anyone interested in participating in Raku Ho’olaule’a with the Hawaii Potters’ Guild group, in the upstairs handbuilding area at HPG. Even if you have participated before, you are encouraged to attend this meeting.
Hawaii Potters’ Guild will organize a group of potters to attend this annual event. All attendees must register for Raku Ho'olaule'a with Hawaii Craftsmen and must also register with the Hawaii Potters’ Guild to share in the labor and costs to set up camp, fire, glaze and eat with the HPG group.
